# WhatsApp Business: Yes, we explain how to install it.

WhatsApp Business is a no-cost app designed for small and medium-sized businesses.

Before you start with the download and installation, it's important to keep the following points in mind:

- If you already use WhatsApp Messenger, you can migrate your account to WhatsApp Business while keeping your chat history and your video and photo gallery.
- If at any point you want to close your WhatsApp Business account to go back to WhatsApp Messenger, bear in mind that you won't be able to keep your chat history.
- You can use WhatsApp Messenger and WhatsApp Business on the same mobile device as long as the associated phone numbers are different.

##### Step 1. Download the WhatsApp Business app.

– Go to Google Play and download the app, or do it from [here](https://www.whatsapp.com/business/?lang=es).

– Choose between transferring the phone number associated with WhatsApp Messenger or adding a new one. You'll be sent a code to verify the phone number.

##### Step 2. Create your business profile.

- Go to Settings > Business profile  and fill in all the fields with your company details: the name, the type of business, a description of what you do (this can be a slogan)
- Add your contact details: phone, email and website.
- Add your business hours.

##### Step 3. Automate messages for your customers.

- Set up the away message: let your customer know when you're away and when you'll be available again. You can, for example, ask them to leave their details and availability so you can contact them once you're back.
- Set up a greeting message: to make sure no customer is left without a reply, set up a personalized welcome message. You can even add a link to your catalog so the customer can browse it while they wait to be attended to.
- Set up quick replies: you can save several reply templates to use later with a simple short-code. This lets you easily answer your customers' recurring questions.

##### Step 4. Create your first product catalog

Add a photo of every product and service you offer, along with a short description. Share them with your customers in a single click.

##### Step 5. Add an online payment method

If you have a paypal.me account, you can connect it to your WhatsApp Business account and your product catalog.
