Activate and deactivate cards
You can activate or deactivate cards at any time from the Excel View. Deactivating a card does not delete it: it simply stops being visible to the public, and you can switch it back on whenever you want.
Deactivating is useful when someone on the team will be away for a long stretch: holidays or sick leave, for example.
What happens when you deactivate a card
- The card link stops working (it shows a "not available" message)
- The QR code and the linked NFC card stop redirecting
- All the data and connectors are kept in your dashboard
- The card no longer counts towards your limit of active cards
How to deactivate a card
- Go to Cards > Excel View
- Find the Status column
- Click the card's toggle to switch it from Active to Inactive
The change takes effect straight away.
Deactivating several cards at once
- In the Excel View, select the cards you want to deactivate
- In the action bar, choose Change status
- Select Inactive
馃挕 Tip: if someone on your team goes on holiday, deactivate their card for the time being. When they are back, switch it on again and everything keeps working.
