Individual connectors vs Templates
Should you use individual Connectors or Templates? It depends on the size of your team and on how many connectors they have in common.
Important: Choosing well from the start will save you time when your team grows.

Decision path
- Does your team have more than 5 people?
- No → individual Connectors are probably enough
- Yes → go to question 2
- Do several people share the same connectors (same website, catalogue, video)?
- No → use individual Connectors
- Yes → go to question 3
- Do you need to update those shared connectors often?
- No → either option works
- Yes → use Templates
Practical examples
Design agency (3 people): each person has very different connectors → individual Connectors
Sales team (25 people): everyone shares website, catalogue and video → a Template
Company with 3 departments (40 people): each department has its own connectors → 3 different Templates
Mixed profiles: 12 similar sales people + 3 one-off directors → a Template for sales plus individual Connectors for the directors
Custom fields
You can create custom fields and use them as dynamic tags in your templates. For example: {{address}}, {{switchboard}}, {{region}}.
What to choose in each case
| Situation | Recommendation |
|---|---|
| 1-5 people, very different profiles | Individual connectors |
| 6+ people with connectors in common | Templates |
| Several departments | Several Templates |
| Mix of similar and one-off profiles | Templates + individual connectors |
Advice: You can combine both. Use Templates for what everyone shares and individual Connectors for what is unique to each person.
