Digital business cards with Google Workspace

Google Workspace integration with Lead2Team: it reads your directory and your people sign in with their Google account. Talk to sales.
Lead2Team connects with Google Workspace for two things: reading your employee directory and letting each person sign in with their Google account, with no extra password to remember. Built for companies with teams that already work with Google Workspace.
What Google Workspace is and who it is for
Google Workspace is Google's work suite: Gmail, Drive, Calendar and the rest, with an admin console where the company directory lives. If your people sign in to Gmail every morning with a corporate account, that account is in that directory, with their name, department and job title.
Reading the directory
- Joiners: every new account gets its digital card created.
- Changes: name, role, department and office update when they change in the directory.
- Leavers: when an account is suspended or deleted, its card is withdrawn in the mode you chose.
- Which fields: only the ones you map.
- Which direction: from Google Workspace into Lead2Team. Nothing you do here touches your directory.
Signing in with your own credentials
This is the second half, and it is the one IT usually asks about. Your people can sign in to Lead2Team with their Google account instead of a separate password. One less account to manage and one less password written down on paper.
Each company also decides which sign-in methods it leaves active: the one-time code by email, the Google account, the Microsoft one, or several at once. If you leave only yours active, you govern access entirely from your side: when you suspend an account in Google Workspace, that person stops getting in.
Signing in with Google is part of the team plans. Single sign-on against another identity provider, with SAML or OIDC, is Enterprise. You have the breakdown on pricing.
What happens when someone leaves
This is the question HR always asks, and it has two answers because you choose the mode:
- Delete the card, if you want no trace of that person left.
- Hide it, if you would rather keep the history and the metrics without the card staying public.
In both cases the person also stops being able to sign in to Lead2Team. There is nothing separate to remember to revoke.
What your team does with that sync
An up-to-date workforce is the means, not the end. With the job title and department from the Google Workspace directory already in, each person gets four things without asking anyone for them:
- Digital card. Their profile with current details, to share by link, QR or vCard.
- Wallet. The same card in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, updating itself when their details change.
- Email signature. One design for the whole company, with the right job title on each one and nobody to chase.
- NFC card. The physical card linked to their profile. If that person leaves, the card is reassigned to someone else without reprinting.
All four drink from the same data. Fix it once and it is fixed everywhere.
How to connect it
- In Lead2Team, open Settings and go to Integrations.
- Choose Google Workspace and authorise the connection. It has to be done by someone with administrator rights in your Google Workspace domain.
- Map the fields: which directory value feeds each field of the card.
- Run a first sync and check the result before opening it to the whole company.
- If you want it to run daily on its own, switch on the daily automatic sync under Settings.
What it does not do
- It is not automatic to begin with. Once connected it is on demand: you run it when you want.
- It does not write into your directory. The information travels one way.
- It does not govern fields you do not map.
FAQ
Do we need a Google Workspace administrator? Yes, to authorise the connection the first time. After that the permission is not needed again.
Can we require everyone to sign in with Google? Yes. Sign-in methods are switched on one by one, so you can leave only that one.
What about two-step verification? If your people sign in with their Google account, Google enforces it under the policy you already have in place, which is usually exactly what a security team asks for.
Does Microsoft Entra ID work too? Yes, it works the same way. Both are on the integrations list.
