Custom fields and dynamic tags

Custom fields let you add extra information to cards and use it as dynamic tags in templates.

How dynamic tags work

When you use {{email}} in a Template:

• On María's card → it shows [email protected]
• On Carlos's card → it shows [email protected]

If you update the email on someone's record, the connector updates automatically.

Tags available by default

Custom fields

You can create custom fields and use them as dynamic tags. For example:

How to use tags

1. Create or edit a Template
2. Add a connector (e.g. Email)
3. In the value field, type the tag: {{email}}
4. Save the Template

⚠️ Important: Tags only work in Templates. If you use {{email}} in an individual connector, it will show literally as "{{email}}".

Common mistakes

Mistake	Result	Fix
Typing {email} instead of {{email}}	Not replaced	Use double braces: {{email}}
Empty field on the record	Shows nothing	Fill in the field on the person's record
Using a tag in an individual connector	Shows the literal tag	Use tags only in Templates
Typo: {{emal}}	Not recognised	Check the spelling

💡 Tip: Before assigning a Template to your whole team, test it on a single card to check that the tags are replaced correctly.
