Backup QR on back of NFC Card

Every NFC card has a QR code on the back as a fallback. Scanning it opens the digital card.

Why the backup QR exists

  • Not every smartphone has NFC
  • iPhones older than the 7 cannot read NFC tags
  • Some cases block the NFC signal
  • A QR is universal: any phone with a camera can scan it

How to use the QR

  1. Turn your card over to show the QR
  2. The other person opens their phone camera
  3. They point it at the QR. A notification appears to open the link
  4. Tapping the notification opens your digital card

馃挕 Tip: At trade fairs and events the QR can be quicker than NFC: the other person just points the camera, with no need to physically tap the card.
